"I had the opportunity to spend 5 days and 4 nights at the Ranch. It was amazing, not only if you are a rider (which I am) but there are opportunities to hike, shop, relax and swim if you are not a rider. The scenery is unbelievable. Over and above the beautiful waterfalls and landscape, the people that work there truly take the time to welcome their guests and show them true Mexican hospitality. Each room is clean and decorated with beautiful art from local artisans. Each meal is homemade utilizing fresh vegatables, meat, cheese and fruit local to the region served beautifully and delicious! Everyone there was attentive to the guests and ensured that all had a memorable relaxing stay.
For those that love to ride, each ride was different and they tailor the experience to the rider. We were also very lucky to meet new folks from around the globe and sharing the stories and experiences of other riders and cultures created an intimate experience both riding and throughout our stay. Thanks so much Usi, Jenny, Max, Franko, Luis, Chewy, Shaun and all the others I have not singled out by name. We had a great time and will return. Until then “¡Corre salvaje con el viento en tu pelo!"
"It was the first time we stayed at the Rancho. What a nice experience! We were warmy welcome by hostess Jenny, a Canadian who has been living here for quite some time. She first took us to our room, then showed us around and let us meet the horses. We already went riding that first afternoon - and it was a great experience. The horses are well trained and there's one for everyone. We used to ride a lot when we were younger, but opted for a calm horse this first time. Apparently, you don't forget how to ride, even after 30 years! It's a bit like riding a bike.
But even if you are not interested in riding horses, a stay at the ranch won't be boring! Jenny's husband gladly takes you along on a sightseeing trip in the neighborhood. We visited Tepotzotlan with its monastery and Sunday market, and also went to Tula to see the remains of the Toltec culture. The price you pay includes meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can also have drinks all day round. We didn't have a moment to feel bored and we certainly want to go back one day!"
